Lover of Simple Things, Free Diver, and Leader
I’ve always had a fascination with the ocean! Growing up in central Ohio, my family regularly vacationed in Southwest Florida! Once home, I found myself missing life away from the water.
After several years at Ohio State University, I transferred to FGCU and continued my love affair with Southwest Florida. I found it impossible to balance a growing mortgage business with a full time college schedule, Again, I went with my heart and made the decision to leave school and put all my energy into building my own clientele as a loan officer. When I met Scott and Angela shortly after making that decision, I felt it was a sign! They told me about an available AND beautiful space within their office suite. Just a few days later, I claimed it as my own!
As a kid, I watched both of my parents thrive in their careers in lending. My father continues to be a top producer in the market as the leader of our mid-sized, family owned mortgage company. I guess you could say that mortgage lending is in my blood. My father, Bruce, opened Equitable’s doors back in 1995 in Columbus Ohio, IN OUR BASEMENT1 Over the last two and a half decades, Equitable Mortgage is now the last surviving family owned mortgage company in Central Ohio.
If there’s one thing that differentiates Equitable from other companies, it’s that we strive to treat our customers as we would our family members. We offer world-class customer service and we do everything we can to help make the home buying process as smooth as possible. Here at Equitable, you are not just another number, you’re a neighbor and more often than not, you will become a friend!
Several months after moving to Southwest Florida, with my extreme interest in boating and fishing, I found it easy to connect with like-minded individuals. I found I had more friends than I’d ever had in my life and I knew for sure that Bonita Springs was meant for me. For several weeks I was so excited that I found it difficult to sleep. I was so fired up about my new Florida life; there was too much to explore!
Besides striving to be the best lender in SWFL, I can be found experiencing the beauty of Florida, typically in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. My first friend in Florida just happened to be a commercial and spear fisherman. I became fascinated by the mystery of free diving in the deep sea. I combined my leadership skills with my enthusiastic dedication and found myself the President of The FGCU Spearfishing club at FGCU!
I truly love introducing people I meet to the coolest sport in the world. And there is no better place on earth to participate in spearfishing than in SWFL!Some people my age say SWFL is “a little slow” or “there’s not much to do” here. My experience of Southwest Florida has been exactly the contrary. I can honestly say I’ve never woken up a single day here and not found something to do. Whether it’s exploring the endless miles of back water mangroves, beach hopping or visiting the world class restaurants, there’s always something to do. I didn’t just move here to live, I moved to Southwest Florida for the lifestyle and sincerely live it to its fullest.
I truly believe that I’m the most blessed human being on Earth and seek to appreciate the simplest of things. I get to do what I love and I’m able to do it in the greatest place in the country -- Southwest Florida.
