Southern girl at heart!
I am a "Southern girl" at heart! Originally from the small town of Hurley, Virginia and the youngest of 9 siblings. I was taught from a very early age to love, respect and to help my family members. Because my parents also encouraged us to carry this attitude out in the world, it became integral to who I am as a person. I have always had the desire to be of service to others. Nothing pleases me more than for someone to understand that I genuinely care about their well-being. As a former foster care social worker, I "helped" every day. While working as a real estate agent is different than working in foster care, the drive to find someone a home that they love is what keeps me going! I love real estate and I love finding people their dream homes!
I first visited Naples, Florida in 1981 and instantly fell in LOVE! I never liked the cold winters in the northeast and so, after 27 years of marriage that ended in a divorce -- I thought Naples would be the perfect spot for me to "start over!" I have two wonderful sons (who are now young men). They live out of state -- California and Colorado, but both enjoy visiting me at my home in beautiful Naples. While I choose to live in Naples, there are many different areas in Southwest Florida that I absolutely LOVE -- Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Sanibel and the list goes on. There is always something to do here! Boating, biking, hiking, jet-skiing, shopping..... all this and a just short drive to Miami!
I was inspired to get my real estate license a few years ago as my sister and niece began working for Stock Development as sales associates. They really enjoyed the work and met so many interesting and creative people. But more importantly, they were helping people everyday. I saw how gratifying it was for them to close a house and to attend housewarming parties where their customers (now friends) were feeling so thrilled with their new purchase!
