Angela Lutzi – an encourager, an optimist, a foodie, a runner, a relentless seeker of human connection and new adventures.“Having moved over a dozen times during my childhood, I had to find things to love about each place — to make it feel like mine; to make it feel like something I connected to and to make it feel like home. And so I did, finding a bit of magic in things large and small in all the new places I’d lived.
I learned to think of moving as a grand adventure, where I got to play a “part” as the perpetually new kid in a new school, new street, new house. I was, in short, always reinventing myself. What may have started out of necessity became a habit and then turned into a passion.
Over the decades that followed, I received a design degree from Pratt Institute and worked as a designer in NYC. I enjoyed the work but I missed being surrounded by people, so on a whim, I went back to school to pursue psychology and became a counselor. That career fed my desire to connect, to encourage, to frankly – be of some help to those who came to me with their struggles. It also made me appreciate on an entirely new level how incredibly diverse and beautiful we all are, and how much our struggles ultimately make us better for them.
Eight years, one failed marriage, two careers and two adorable kids later, I was a solo practitioner, living in the small town in PA close to where I grew up making a living, but not quite a life as I saw it. Then I met the love of my life, my now husband, and thankfully, my business partner and my anchor, Scott. We clicked in that almost cliche way teenagers tend to. Ours is a love story that took us to search for a place we both would want to make a home in, a place we could let loose, dive into head first. We found it a few years ago in Bonita Springs.
Living here and helping people on their new journeys has been a blessing. We love everything about Bonita, from the fantastic weather year around to phenomenal food, but mostly – the people who we have had the great fortune to meet and become friends with. I have finally found not just a new career that I enjoy immensely, but a whole new life in a whole new place that finally feels like home for all the right reasons.”
